We collect only what we need to receive and review your message, and to respond where you permit us to.
What we collect
When you send us a message, we collect the information you enter, the submission time, and limited technical information needed to protect the form from abuse. Project-feedback forms may include the project and contribution category, your message, why it matters, who may be affected, optional name and email, whether we may contact you, and your publication preference.
Please do not send passwords, confidential institutional information, private personal or pastoral information, safeguarding evidence, or other sensitive material through a general website form. Website security vulnerabilities should be reported separately to security@emptyjars.net.
What we do with it
We use your information to read your message, understand needs and interest in Empty Jars, improve the projects, and keep the website secure. For project feedback, we respond only when you select contact permission; providing an email address without that permission does not authorize follow-up.
Project feedback is private by default. We may publish an anonymized or attributed summary only according to the publication preference you select. We review and redact submissions before any public use; nothing is automatically posted or converted into a public issue.
We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated advertising.
Retention and your choices
We keep submissions only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, or withdraw permission for future publication, by emailing hello@emptyjars.net. If a permitted summary has already been published or copied by others, complete removal may not be possible, but we will address the request reasonably.
